Nina Simone was born Eunice Kathleen Waymon February 21, 1933 and died April 21, 2003 , is an American pianist , singer, songwriter and activist for civil rights in the United States . It is mainly associated with jazz music.

Born into a practicing Protestant family, Eunice is very young attracted by the music but the realities of poverty and racial prejudice have for his ambitions. Desiring originally become a classical pianist , she finally played in various musical styles including jazz, leblues , classical , soul , folk, R & B, and pop legospel .
