- Be approachable.
- Know how to explain the rules.
- Know how to enforce the rules.
- Be encouraging.
- Don't loose control.
- Be as fair as possible.
- Always be enthusiastic. 
- Empower the class to help.
- Know how to manage conferences.
- Good research skills.
- Good public speaking and debating.
- Good writing skills.
