The advert of the internet has been rather like a mixture of a plague and an addiction at the same time. It obviously makes our lives so much easier than before in areas like; shopping, communication, researching information however at the same time it has given rise to on-line bullying, the globalisation of pornography and the degradation of women. It allows any moronic user to spout their idiotic views to a huge audience and facilitates the corruption of the gullible by anyone with a vested interest to pursue. The internet actually is a very dangerous place for youngsters and children, it could lead them to find pleasure in vices. And since they're young, such dirty activities will influence their impressionable minds. In my country, they're coming up with some plan that will make the internet a safer place for kids. 
However, with the Internet, you are exposed to sensitive information, that isn't controlled by the government and stuff like that, this forces the government and authority figures to remain uncorrupted and not play dirty.
